- no restore
- Monte'd with beta6

BT works, skype crashes on launch, iBooks works, but I do not have any apple-purchased books (some free ones and some pdfs - all working)

10.5.6 has a known DFU problem. Not sure if iTunes 8.2 was meant to fix this or not. I suggest you update to 10.5.7. If you don't want to do that, google osx 10.5.6 dfu iphone and see what pops up

Yeah, you can. You need to add the repo just like in cydia, then dl the package. Then bake the ipsw. It should be in there. The step many miss is actually dl'ing the package.

Hold down power and home for like 45 seconds. Just keep holding it... even if the screen goes black. Then start over. You are in dfu purgatory - nothing wring with your phone.
