I really wanted to read this series but I hadn't realized that it started until I saw issue two and found the issue 1 was impossible to find at any of the shops I went to. Maybe I'll download the issues and then add this to my pull list.

I liked the Spirit, it was campy and cheesy in a good way.

As for this, I wonder what made them decide that it was a good idea to make it. The last two Punisher movies did poorlyish (counting the 80's one) so what made them think this one would do well?

I'd give it an 8.5 too. However, there were some VERY mixed reactions throughout our entire row. As Mike knows, there were 15 of us in the group at the movie and I heard every reaction from "brilliant" to "fuck, it sucked!." I hope people enjoy it as much as we did.
