I know what you were saying and I agree.....I have two cancers in the public school system for you.....UNIONS......AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS........this is killing public school system.

my friend it is worst than that.....some of these parents drop them off....delegate their responsibility to the school and then they question how it is done. They take no time to get involved with their children's education. I think we it is time to begin teaching these kids a class on the constitution and essays of the founding fathers. May be they can teach a few of these parents a thing or two.

Centerleft.......we already have universal healthcare......heck....we treat illlegal immigrats from mexico.....and who pays? My friend , Canada, Europe.......all suffer from pathetic care.........I know.....my father does the security details for dignitaries in Houston.......95% of his details are for Dignitaries that come here to get medical services.........including the Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica........you name it they come here. Now that being said....our system is not perfect and it is expensive but to socialize it......Do you want the efficiency of government to manage your health care? Pray you or your loved ones never have to experience that dissaster.

Elliot...with all due respect....these clowns in congress do not represent us anymore. THey represent their re-election above all. YOU said it....this is how they make their living....I agree they should be very good but we need term limts.....these guys play by different rules and they make decisions because they are not affected by them. They get a golden parachute when they leave service.....great medical and non of it is affected by their irresposible decisions they make. You should go there and serve and then come back to the real world and get a job ...and no parachute either.....let them get cobra medical like I had to when I switched jobs....and let them put their money in the same stockmarket we put our monies in......this way they have to read every DAMN bill they pass because they have to live with the consequences.

Pmq.....I have to agree with Mike........people can make the same arguments about Bush last election and the one before more or less. If we are to unite as a people we need to concentrate on the issues that made America great! Like the 9/12 project. Don't get me wrong....I'm still waiting for the birth certificate and it is getting interesting with the new charges of treason that have been levied on the President by a retired General. Yet....there are dems out there that are probably realizing what a huge mistake they have made and are looking to save face next election. They must be brought back to our side by reason and issues...those who are reasonable....those few will not jump ship if we are personally attacking them.

I am considering running for office locally just because of this issue!! There is a "Club Mentality" in D.C. and I believe is the root cause for most of our problems today. Don't get me wrong....I know there are a few people that are patriots and have great intentions....but we all know the establishment is too big for them to make any serious changes unless we are making them through the ballot box. Once politicians get there their job is to get reelected regardless of what happens. They become so detached from the people that they can justify any irresponsible decision on their intetions of staying in power so they can help us have a voice. WE HAVE NO VOICE IN WASHINGTON...DEMS OR REPS.....term limits will go a long way in helping us getting our country back. This guys go to office and have all this perks like special retirement, medical, that are not affected by their bone-headed decisions. They should go there....do their business and come back and get a real job. Only when they know that they will have to live with their decisions when they come back home......only then will they READ THOSE DAMN BILLS and know exactly the consequences of their actions.

As an educator, I can tell you that we can do all we can to teach a student; however, you have to account for parental support and resposibility. As hard as I and other colleagues try.....there are students that come to class without eating, wearing the same clothes for days, definitely no homework and with many calls to social services. Yet, as you probably know, we can't hold them back becasue there is no room. Our classes are already in the high 30's and some 40. I tried to retain 3 students last year with the principal's support and the students were promoted anyway. As Glenn Beck puts it.........we are at crossroads in our country politcally and culturally.
