If Obama attempts to do an end run around Congress and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling, he will set the stage for the biggest Constitutional challenge since the Civil War. He's not a dictator - his powers are enumerated in the Constitution. This country is already divided. Obama pulling this stunt will just make it worse.

I don't blame Obama - it's the fault of the voters who elected him not once, but twice despite a demonstrated record of nonaccomplishment. It's not "white guilt", it's not simple idealism, it's the decision by the majority of those that voted to change this country into an entitlement state. Obama promised that with the "fundamental change" rhetoric. Well, they are slowly getting what they wanted, but the collateral damage he's inflicting along the way is tremendous, so much so that even his lap-dog supporters are clamming up. Unqualified, dishonest, incompetent, and anti-American: THAT'S our President.

Sorry, but we have more important issues than greedy politicians. As a society, we have decided that graft and corruption doesn't matter that much anymore (Look at the dirt in the Obama administration and we didn't care then). Lock up violent criminals and stop wasting time trying to put away greedy a-holes like this: They are the vast majority of our government "officials", anyway.

To answer the title of the article: Sandy will never be hung around Obama's neck the way Katrina was hung around Bush's because the media loves Obama and hated George Bush.

The Obama supporters ignore this or chalk it up to "bad luck". At no time will they EVER say that it was the wrong thing for the Anointed One to do. Hell, even Obama refuses to talk about it, but he'll tell you "Give me four more years, I'm not done yet." That's what scares me.

Here is the issue: Is health care a right or not? Those on the left trot out emotionally appealing arguments that suggest it is. Those on the right say that nowhere in our Constitution is it listed as a right. The left screams "Evil, cruel, hateful!" The right says "We can't afford it, it's unconstitutional, and it must go." The fact is that to uphold Obamacare is to say "We no longer recognize any restriction on the power of the federal government to act." If that doesn't scare you, liberal or conservative, then we are lost and it's everybody for themselves.

This election is a rerun of Bush/Gore and Bush/Kerry: I don't like Romney, but I despise Obama, so I'll vote against Obama by pulling Romney's lever. Romney should understand his support is a mile wide and an inch deep.

Any body still under the delusion that government is your friend or that "law enforcement" deserves respect?

I can't stand Obama, but you gotta admit every president has used the troops as a photo op at some point. Regan, both Bush's, and Clinton all tried to appear macho behind soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines. What I'd like to know (and Obama wouldn't) is the level of contempt the military has for him, his administration, and Dems in general. There's a reason they have disenfranchised military voters when Dems are in charge, and it sure as hell isn't because the military supports them.

They can pass any more gun laws they like. Like most gun owners (I hope), I simply won't comply. When they come to my home to take them, they won't find them. When they ask me where they are, I won't tell them. The confrontation is coming. What will you do?
