Excellent stuff as usual Andrew, well written and very helpful.
You do a great job Andrew! Each new episode is better than the previous one. Keep up the great work and thanks for all the sharing you do. It would be interesting to know how many people download the podcat.
This was another great and "enlightened" discussion. I especially appreciated her perspective on the book "The Great Short." Nice job with the interview Andrew!
Be careful with Apple suppliers like TriQuint whose revenues and profitability depend heavily on their continued supplier status, especially when it represents a sizeable chunk of TQNT's overall revenues. Since Apple recently bought a semi-conductor company, certain parts could be "insourced" and TriQuint (or related suppliers) could be dropped at any time. That's likely what will happen with TQNT's stock price if that occurs. I stress that I have no specific knowledge or information to that effect, just cautioning about the perils of investing in companies which have a revenue base heavily concentrated in a few customers.
A few analysts have recently come out (even before earnings were announced) and said that Google is "dead money" at least until sometime in June. I guess they're expecting some kind of catalyst in June, but so far they've been right. With all the recent stumbles, one wonders what's going on.
It sounds like a great cause; you've got my support Andrew!
Oops, and just in time, Goldman Sachs adds Potash (POT) to its conviction buy list today. Be careful out there.
Watch out for a potential short-term bounce in the stock of Mosaic and other mentioned potash stocks due to a favorable article in Barron's this week.
I'd hate to think of what might have happened last year had he not taken action. Sitting and watching what happens is what they did in Japan, and look where that got them. Replacing him in the middle of this recovery could set us back tremendously. He's not perfect (who is?), but he's the best guy for the job right now.
Congratulations Andrew! It's a very well deserved honor. Thank you for all your hard work and time that you put in to help educate all of us. I am very grateful and can't imagine all the effort you put in.
