Looks like he may be on the ropes, though. His poll numbers are slipping, and I have a sense that many in the country are seeing the light. Now if we can just find a 9.12'er to take his place....

Of course, it's Bush's fault. Not the fact that sex is in every commercial, tv show, movie, magazine, dog show. Not the fact that non-profits are pushing kids to have premarital sex, and abort any fetuses that may be produced by it.

Nope, it's not a parental responsibility to bring up your children as best you can to avoid such results. Yes, kids are going to do what kids are going to do, but not everything can be solved by governmental programs.

Agreed. Staying focused, fueling the movement with passionate discourse and sound ideas, keeping the heat on our elected officials, uniting with other like-minded people in your area.

As Benjamin Franklin said, we must all hang together, or most assuredly we will all hang separately.

Not sure if it's buyer remorse, but I imagine they're at least feeling the pressure to cover the unrest - either to appear non-partisan or at least maintain SOME credibility with their viewership.

I agree. The diagram that Glenn drew last night around the bloated form of Barney Fwank was very descriptive of the problems we face with these bailouts-looks to be a lot of laundering and subterfuge. It's all sides. Bush, McCain, Dodd, Obama....

Someone pulling the strings, indeed. Reminds me of the old Megadeth song, "Symphony of Destruction"

What is logical and what is expedient are always different in the minds of politicians. I suppose if we just sit down with the hijacker, we could coax him out of hijacking the plane.

I'd state that I am surprised, but I am working on my #1 Value - Honesty. ;-)

It's time we DEMAND full disclosure of our politicians. But the media will of course play interference and keep us occupied with Jay Leno and the Obama "hipness" factor stories, so we will continue to blame the evil capitalists.

It never ceases to amaze me that politicians ever TRY to do things "quietly". As if no one will notice.

I believe pilots should be able to arm themselves in the event of a hijacking attempt if the cockpit is secured. Wouldn't want Joe Hijacker to just be able to open the cockpit doors and take a weapon.

But with the safety of scores of passengers at stake, there must be a way to subdue or incapacitate those who would cause harm at high altitude. Especially if the administration decides to decrease the number of air marshalls on flights.
