One of those things I was forced to learn about in graduate school on the way to a doctorate was statistics, and about the only things I remember from that are these: It is quite easy to manipulate a survey, on the one hand, and on the other, most surveys are meaningless because of it. One of the things I learned taking psychology courses in graduate school was that pyschology is mostly baloney, posing as science. Devout Masters and Doctors of Psychology will argue endlessly about how important their "discipline" is, but it's all whistling past the graveyard. They'll spend hours testing a person to arrive at an "informed" opinion about unwanted behavior a person wants to change, while a good psychotherapist will bring about a change in that behavior in a few sessions, sometimes only after one session. How crazy can things get?

Here's how. In Indiana, for example, only a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Psychology can become a health provider of psycholgoical services, and regardless of how incompetent or poorly trained they may be, better trained people still must be supervised by them.

Are liberals smarter and nicer? No, but they are convinced that they are.

What do you mean, author: "The US is not in decline now, but the wrong policies can take us there." Utter nonsense. Democrats have been taking America down for at least ten years---eleven if you count the third year of Obama's term. Yes, even under George Bush, who governed like a Kennedy Democrat. Look around, people. Nearly everyone in positions of power---from the media, through the Democrat Party and RINOs in the Republican Party, through Unions and the heads of America's largest corporations---are pushing America toward socialism or merchantilism as fast as they can. Genuine Americans haven't got fed up sufficiently to push their states toward secession or to take up arms---yet.

More and more young officers are telling the truth about Afghanistan and Iraq, and to what purpose? As long as a traitor who hates America occasionally occupies the White House (on those rare occasions when he shows up at all) and has filled it with American-hating Marxists, and as long as the Democrat Party consists almost entirely of Marxists and Fascists, and as long as America's highest serving military officers are devoted to serving any so-called commander, nothing will change.

Think it will change if America replaces the Marxist with Romney, a Republican squish? If you do you live in the same dreamland as Democrats.

Since somewhere like 20 % of the electorate are Marxist idealogues, and another 29 % are Useful Idiots/Independents, America cannot move in the direction of a Constitution-abiding nation without some major disruption: a secession of about half the states, a nuke attack on the U.S. coinciding with the election of an American patriot (i.e., an American conservative), or a sudden miracle from above in which all the voting idiots in America suddenly awaken and become patriotic instead of traitorous.

I don't know who plays the role of Snooki, or even what the show is about, but why would the producer cast a porker in that role? Are there that many porkers out there who will identify with her?

A European Depression and currency collapse coupled with the election of a conservative American President and Congress would go a long ways toward stabilizing America.

It's interesting, ain't it, how those socialists whose economic philosophy have caused a global depression (/recession) now want to protest the system that created wealth on the planet. How finely honed those socialist minds must be!

Miss Dekker is showing the old American Spirit! What a shame that so many Americans lack that these days. Well, it's been draining out of America since Abraham Lincoln launched the War of Northern Aggression for statist, then called Unionism.

Put me down as agreeing with Whelen. I wouldn't give you two-bits for an inaccurate gun, unless I knew someone who could fix it. I don't have the savvy to fis itmyself.

Same day registration and open primaries result in---and are intended to result in---voter fraud. It's a Democrat Party specialty, but many Republicans in states such as Wisconsin and New Hampshire (and Iowa, where they use caucuses) have swallowed the Democrat poison pill and open their political processes to fraud in the name of making the vote more accessible to citizens. It's interesting to note that Republicans rarely vote across party lines but that Democrats do it often---as regularly as they use the cemeteries to increase their vote.

Correction: When I wrote the author works for the Washington Post I was thinking of Jena McGregor, not the author Dan Riehl. Mea Culpa.
