Rumours of a complete reboot? I thought every M:I film was practically a reboot, they are at least in style and character circumstances.
M:I 3 was clearly the best one yet.

The glasses are polarized, meaning (if I understand correctly) they will combine the image into a sterescopic one in each lens. Thus it should not require both eyes to see the sterescopic image. I have to remember to try this out when I next go see a 3D film.

"Make it so" isn't just "someones" line, it's Picards line. Nobody says "make it so" except Picard.

I'll just rehash what others have said; the Call of Duty games (and Medal of Honour games before them) were basically taking stories and scenes from popular WW2 movies and adapting them to the game. It's quite baffling that somebody would get the idea to make a movie out of this.

I gotta say I was disappointed. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't great. Maybe I was overhyped by all the great reviews, I don't know.

***SPOILERS***

Nero was a very typical one dimensional villain. I didn't really care much for the characters and thus felt little excitement. Weird plot movement; transport from the ice planet and parachuting through the atmosphere with no heat build-up. Set pieces felt too forced; the monster on the ice planet (completely unnecessary and added nothing to the movie) and the apparently highly dangerous romulan bridge which seemed to consist of various narrow platforms above a gaping chasm. Also the young James drive stunt is a scene that was strange and unnecessary. The destruction of Vulcan felt hollow, it felt like a barren planet with only a few inhabitants. And yes, lens flare overload which I didn't really care for.

I just came back from the theater so there's probably a lot of stuff I'm forgetting. It was an alright movie, no must see unfortunately.

I smell some Chuck Norris style factoids building up around Rodriguez :)

There is no way Scott would consider a reboot of the original. He feels it's just about perfect in every way as it is, even admitting he regrets the directors cut he made that was purely for publicity's sake and to introduce the film to a new audience.

I don't think you realize the amount of post-production that is undoubtedly needed on this film.
