Two out of three advocating vote Yes are on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. They should have put Mayor Pro Tem Monica Vernon on the stage and gone three for three.
With the current LOST we have gotten to pay for a farmers market, an amphitheater, a long failing hotel and convention complex and other frills and waste. Downtown has been the Chamber's pet slum project for decades.

Who wanted $100 million and more spent to "renovate" a decades failed hotel and convention center? New paint on a pig does not a polo pony make. Charge it all up on the flood recovery card. Ask for a forever tax to subsidize this flop house forever.
The only people who wanted this were the Chamber of Commerce and their subsidiary Downtown District . Go look up the Chamber's Board of Directors. Can you say Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem? Goggle the names and companies tied thereto. It will take you right back to the media issuing editorials cheering all this on.

The downtown cabal has 6 figures to spend on the yes campaign. Cover the world with yes signs. Read them all and vote no.

Plan A has already been accomplished. Riverun has largely been achieved by calling it flood recovery. 20 years more is just to maintain it.

Thank you, Mr. Conklin for challenging this. Mr. Conklin probably has no reason to conceal, or open carry. The Marion Police will be watching his every move, use of turn signals, etc. How long until the City Inspectors show up on his property day after day after day?
