I've never taken an illegal drug and I think marijuana should be decriminalized. I would rather police focus on serious crime. Its good to see Chicago take this step.

Too bad the Libyan's don't want their government to change. Its just amazing to me this is happening. Libyan citizens had a really good society with free education, healthcare, and good treatment of the people. They had the highest standard of living on their continent.

Every single one of us posting on this article have to vote today. I've already gone and voted straight republican ticket. It really does matter and it is so important! Don't just leave it up to others because that will be Obama Dems.

Just wanted to mention that the great healthcare benefits at the company I work for are now being cut. We are now going to have higher co-pays and lower maximum benefit.

I'm voting TEA Party so hopefully we can fix this. Why does every concession have to come from those that work?

This is unethical to say the least.

Eleanor Holmes Norton first thought of raising funds is to call a lobbyist. If she knew she was doing a good job and wanted to further the democrat agenda she should have asked for funds from people in her district. This is a picture perfect case that explains why America is mad.

The democrats will likely just overlook this violation of ethics rules and her district will just keep re-electing her. This is exactly why I think we may end up in a revolution. If she keeps getting lobbyist funds to stay in office then how can we fix our country when corrupt politicians like this are in office?

Warren, how is it that you and I get that but so many do not? I do not mean to say that to freak people out but my intention is to ask that they get serious. We can no longer have the bickering politicians doing irresponsible deeds. Our country is at a point that we could crash. Right now we need real leadership to own fixing this mess. A real leader would be transparent about what the problems are and explain the hard choices he will have to make to address them. This is exactly what I want. It scares me that "we the people" are too dumb to get it and insist our leaders address those issues.

Whether you are a democrat or a republican, it should not matter. Our situation is dire and we need a dynamic and experienced leader to get us back on track. There is no one in either party right now that I believe can do the job. It will take someone who is supported by the people to go do the hard thing. I think we all know that hard thing will be to cut budgets and make our country fiscally responsible again. The bickering has to stop so we can work together to fix our country before it does turn into a third world country.

I agree with what you both said. Since I pay attention and read I can clearly see the resulting crisis. I really wish we had a genuine leader step up and take charge. Even if that leader is not formally in government but has enough sway with the citizens we could force our leaders to fix the situation. If that fails, I am ready to do so forcefully. I've had it with irresponsible and unaccountable government.

I respect the Wal-Mart door greeter. That is a person that works for a living. Pete Stark just seems to be a leech. The freakin idiots in California that elected him need thier heads examined. On second thought maybe we should do a sociology experiment and find out what is going on there that they care so little for their country.
