Big Hollywood : Michael Moore Trashed My Movie... My Response

You know I just cut and pasted a quote on another post here and who woulda thunk it? It's still on my clipboard! So ironic how it fits this greasy slime bag so well: "Propaganda, is a truly terrible weapon in the hands of an expert." Adolf Hitler 1924

If these hoochies were all about equality - l would have liked for them to take those scarfs off while they were there.......could've flew their heads back in the carry on luggage on the private jet......... You know - not that I'm an admirer of his - I'm not. But a quote comes to mind: "Propaganda, is a truly terrible weapon in the hands of an expert." Adolf Hitler 1924

Big Hollywood : The Obama Presidency: Another Lousy Remake

you said it Stan - Conservatives were into "Hope and Change" before it became a T-Shirt slogan. I have many people who are starting to ask questions.....I had a guy at work today that I've avoided since the election. He and I were sorta friends but opposites politically. He walked by me today covered his face with his hand and said "Shut up man - I don't want to talk about it" we both laughed. He's realized that he was excited about race and nothing else. I was always concerned about the race issue - I wanted us to have a Black POTUS - but not this guy - he's going to embarass a whole generation.

HOLY CRAP MICHAEL! This is exactly what others have been thinking and feeling! In the endless pool of opinion - this one nailed it. I myself have this link already pasted in an email and intend to spam the hell out of everyone I know. Clear, concise, and to the point - based on historical fact. Superb job.

Big Hollywood : Sao Paolo, Taxifornia

I lived in in SoCal for years and had a blast in bars and clubs. (Thank you to all the drunk Orange County Girls!...fish in a barrel) The I got away.....I just turned down a 30% pay increase offered by my company to move to CA. After doing the math I would end up with a 7% reduction in my lifestyle to move there. And now with the potential of Federally Manadated Liberal crap - why would I go where you are sure to get the double whammy!? Nope - This website is as close as I'll ever come to California.

Big Hollywood : Keeping Score at the Movies

All true - I agree with the point that as good as any actors performance could ever be - an accompaning score can enhance that performance. My splintered attempt to convey an exception to the rule detracts from my intended point that I think Buster Keaton is one of the most giving, amazing gifts Hollywood ever shared with the rest of us. And trust me about the prominent people I know - they seem to be a force to be reckoned with - LOL!

all true - I'm very active locally as well - I also try to get basic ideas out whenever possible - sometimes there can be clarity to those who are unsure when reading posts like these - I'm sure yours may be able to get (even if just some) people asking question, looking for anwers, and motivated....... I have my son and his friends asking questions all the time...... he and his friends use my crappy little site for info to counter their blind liberal friends - you know the type - "I like Obama because he's cool and my parents said he's neat!" BLECH! It's not all shiney and professional, but people seem to like it - oddsagain.com

What a "wanna be" elitist post! Do you have any idea what a walking cliché you are? "1st Law of Debate Club......2nd Law of Debate Club......" You're a Tri-Lam living in a world where he thinks he's Tyler Durden for gods sake! So you won some debates in High School, remembered the rules from way back then, and your parents were proud that you were able to accomplish that WITH your retainer still in....Get over yourself, you snotty momma's boy. "The most educated people voted for change"......you have got to be kidding me and anyone else who reads that dribble......you have a better chance trying to convince us we're all really French. Again - your ability to remember the "LAWS OF DEBATE CLUB" (insert ominus echoing) does not change facts - snapper head! "Me" or "us" saying this economy just stated in January is as ignorant as you saying it started 8 years ago. Lossen that tin foil around your greasy little head. Like Rush says, "You sir, are a glittering jewel of ignorance."

Yep - I love and listen to these guys as if it's still the early 80's......I saw them when I was younger on their Syncronicity Tour (sp) in Berlin - front row! awesome show - although I did get a Turkish teenage girls hairy arm pit in my face once. So watch yourself when they say "Put your hands up!"....but I digress..... Based on Stings political stuff - I just lump them into bands that are BNC or ANC......many great bands started going down hill right after the first Live Aid...... oh, by the way: BNC = Before News Conferences ANC = After News Conferences

As I have been told by other prominent folk "I am not trying to be a wet blanket" ;) but I do want to make one point: While I do agree with all of the posts and the article itself that the emotion that is born out of a great score is priceless to the enjoyment and buy-in of a film; Keaton was able to do (in hind sight) things at a time when it could have been completely audio-less. And I don't mean "silent". His level of commitment and sacrafice lead to such a dynamic visual presentation that his performances stood on their own. I am biased in my love and admiration of early Keaton. My grandfather told me stories about when he was a kid and they would go down to these traveling vaudville shows (Communities actually) that would live on the beaches of Muskegon MI in the summers - and his many stories of Buster and others who were always great to the locals. Anyway like I said, I'm biased and nostalgic of that by gone era. p.s. And by Keaton I'll assume you meant Buster due to his listing with Charlie - not a Michael or Diane reference I hope HA! But if I had to cast a vote - Giorgio Moroder / Midnight Express
