What if, as I mentioned before, all or most of the contents had been DONATED in exchange for the substantial free advertising they are getting? How then would that affect the value of the contents and the total value of the Dream Home? Just dreaming, hoping and wondering at the same time....

IntenseDebate Notification <DIV>I've been bitten for quite some time now. And you? Do you actually think about how you mightmove furniture around....or what you'd do with the $1.2 million you could possibly net if you sold it? Hmmm, the Ides of March. </DIV> <DIV>Did I read correctly in the Rules that there may be potential winners and that they'd have five days to consult professionals? And might that mean that you may be one of a few potentials and that the ambush might evoke real reactions? </DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial">

On another subject, what if, and I am only speculating, the sponsors like Ethan Allen, Sub-Zero, Wolfe, Rinnai, Asko, etc. have all donated the contents of the Dream Home in exchange for the generous free advertising they get? If that might be the case, would the retail value of the contents be a fair and legal component of the total value of the property, hiking it to around $2 million. Maybe an attorney could weigh in.
I wish this fabulous home wouldn't occupy so much of my thoughts and hopes. I have a life I need to attend to. LOL

IntenseDebate Notification <DIV>WyoGirl: you seem to be as interested in details as I am, so I was wondering if the following thought had occurred to you as well:</DIV> <DIV> HGTV is valuing the home, contents and car as over $2 million. What if Ethan Allen and all the other vendors and sponsors have donated the contents and products? They certainly get enough free advertising, reaching thousands of people. If in fact the contents, etc. have been donated,is it fair to include theretail value of everything to increase the value upon which the winner would have to pay taxes? I am not an attorney nor an accountant....I'm just wondering about this possibility. What do you think? </DIV> <DIV> One more question: how does oneinitiate contactingperson on IntenseDebate? Thanks for your input and interest. Enjoy the weekend.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial">

For some reason, this doesn't work all the time. I must be doing something wrong--sometimes the fields are auto-populated, sometimes not. Oh well, it only takes a few seconds and it's worth it.
