Whole segments of the marine industry grew from the need for personnel and supply transport. Many of these companies started out as individual boat captains in the fishing and shrimping sectors. Now, boats are specifically built for the various needs of this industry. From the food these personnel require, the training they need for safety, security, and various other aspects of the job, the shipyards that build the boats and rigs, etc., many, many industries benefit.
