I find the proposition that O'Keefe was "manning" a table to be sexist. If One People's Project (you down with OPP? Yeah you know me!) wants to be taken seriously as a sensitive, caring group then their lies about O'Keefe should involve him "humanning" or "personning" the table.

California has become an education wasteland since the sixties. Great schools are available if you can afford them. The rest unfortunately are stuck in the leftist battleground.

You're getting stuck on the word "romanticizing." It can also imply that the explorers are the only ones with the warts, therefore elevating the native people by default.

Real history is objective, and that means warts and all, but also the triumphs and advancements of our culture. Zinn's "version" of history is simply a narrative that begins with his own conclusions and the rest is carved up to fit like puzzle pieces which support the narrative.
