Big Government : The Real Axis of Evil: Washington, the Fed, and Wall Street

Or we could call China's bluff and devastate them. We'll survive, but they'll be too busy fighting off an insurrection.

Big Government : Congress Creating Big Brother for Wall Street

Problem with that book is that it only talks about people who want to destroy the nation through their withdrawal from society. Then they blame the government for taking action towards these people. They speak nothing of the reconstruction outside of promises and improbable luck. Nice try, but it does not reconcile with the reality of their demise.

...not if the Republicans back firms like Grigsby & Cohen, Jackson Lewis, and others of the same stripe. When the unions are gone, you're next to be targeted by their kind - for their purpose of abusing immigration law to avoid all citizens.

...and watch as there will be a Republican who looks away but allows some illegals from Mexico in to do the job.

Well, explain yourselves why the Republicans willing to sell the country out faster(as they've done in the past 30 years)? Explain why Elaine Chao of the last administration was as close to a Chinese job-funnel as the Clintons were. She did nothing to stop offshoring, or hear any of the objections towards it. Think of that when the Republicans do the same things, with only a different change in pace. They certainly will, and use the anti-union hate as a convenient cover as done many times over the past 30 years. Where are the Anti-BRIC folks in Washington? They certainly have left the GOP and no conservative would spurn a Third World country even if for intolerable, 19th century practices.

What of the cases where they purposefully "scuttle the ship" and kill the company? It looks like what you just described - they sink the company and call it some unrelated "coincidence".

Their enemies are not saints either - they oppose non-unionized US citizens through anti-citizen uses of immigration law. I wonder if this was to just clear it for a bunch of illegals from Mexico to get this project.

I'd not be as quick to just blame it on the Democrats. It's just Wall Street playing everyone, even the Wall-Street loving Republicans. They need some oversight they cannot escape, at all. They've done enough damage and no longer represent our country; just chalk the folks who do leave as "unwanted customers".
