Is there a way to backup my 3G's jailbroken data/settings/app settings and then restore then once the 4S jailbreak is out?

When the iPhone 4S/iOS5 jailbreak comes out, is there a way I can backup my jailbroken apps on my 3G and then restore them to my new 4S? I'd really hate to have to go back and redo everything.

I live in the Des Moines area and not Cedar Rapids and will never use this library. Where do you get off using state money that comes from taxpayers such as myself that don't reside in your city nor use it's resources nor wants to provide any of my money for your resources?

I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 with iOS 4.0.1 with the SHSH blobs saved in Cydia. I need to restore this phone and re-jailbreak it. How do I do that properly? I don't need to unlock and I don't need hacktivation

I got an unknown error when syncing and now iTunes is telling me I need to restore each time i connect the phone and launch itunes. Phone works but, obviously, I can no longer do anything with it, like sync or manage it.

Is it possible there are still old firmware iPhone 4s out there and if so is there a way to tell before purchasing? I'm trying to think of a low-traffic place that sells iphones.
