Fantastic post, Jon! You are so right. We would rather see ourselves as worms who deserve to be squashed, than a child of the Most High God who have been forgiven and through Jesus' blood WILL receive mercy once we repent.

Praise Him that "He loves mercy more than judgment"!!!

I have more than once thought about what would happen if the speakers fell from the ceiling. I am SOOOO glad to know I am not the only one. I also think about falling off the platform... Unfortunately, our sound room wasn't designed well and we sit precariously perched. :(

I saw Red, last night and the night before. My best friend wanted to watch it with me, but she wasn't available on my day off, so I saw it the first time with my son. Great movie!!

Braveheart was an awesome movie!!

Having been married, there was usually more fighting between the husband and I, than the kids and either of us. *sigh* I HATE being late, so I am a get ready early and be prepared kind of person... So, since I've been single with kids, there have been no fights before services. :D

The oddest thing was, I (not being a morning person) was grumpy in the morning and cheerful after church (just hearing God's word) and he was fine in the morning and grumpy after church (just being convicted by God's word).

I guess what I am really trying to say, is when he started talking to her, I very highly doubt that he had ANY intention of starting an emotional affair. I am SURE he just wanted to help a friend in need. One thing led to another. And YES he should have been wise enough to see the signs that things were getting too personal. But, he got his eyes off of God because of losing his job, then he got angrier and angrier at home, and the children and I tried our best to respond with mercy and forgiveness. But, it wasn't enough.

SO, I DO agree with you, that opposite sex relationships SHOULD and CAN be fine. They really should be. BUT, there is NOTHING wrong with any one of us erring on the side of caution. Nothing at all.

I can tell you (by his words only), that when he started talking to this girl it was because her husband had left her and she needed rides to work and her grandmother who usually takes her was going to be on vacation. To him, it seemed the most logical thing to do, because I had to go to work, and he was now unemployed with free time on his hands. And I was okay with it, because we WERE doing well at the time (or so I thought) that they started talking again, and I totally trusted him.

She then had to move out of her place so she asked my husband if he could help her move. My husband did call me on his way there, to make sure it was okay with me. Even if it weren't okay, now looking back, he was close enough to her by then that he would have done it even if I weren't okay with it.
