I am excited to see this home/treehouse/lodge coming to fruition! While I'm tentative about Vermont winters, I know that the area is fantastically gorgeous year round. I can't think of a more relaxing and rejuvinating place to retire. Looking forward to watching this Dream Home grow into a reality!

So exciting!!! If we don't win the Green Home in Plymouth, we're definitely going to try for this Dream Home!!! Gorgeous serene and exciting surroundings!!! Can't wait to see all that will be offered in this home. Way to go to all at HGTV!

I have to admit that I wasn't all that thrilled with the yellow floating shelf at first. However, with Gail's perspective, the up close & personal view, I think I like it! This neat little shelf is a great splash of color, and a the art is refreshing in an otherwise "quiet" space.

This is just so exciting!!! Just a little over 3 days left to enter! Good luck everyone!!!

Thank you Gail! I loved the videos! Being able to see the area from a real perspective has made me fall in love with it even more! Keep up the good work!

Good luck everyone! Just two weeks to go!

I am so excited that there are only 15 days left to enter!!! FIFTEEN DAYS!!! Just one month until the ambush!!! Look for some sneakin' around on Oahu when I win and they come to my house! :o) Good luck everyone!!!

Gail, I LOVE the art on the stairwell also! I do believe that it is my favorite! It's a wonderful splash of color and texture and just works so well in that space! Thank you for your continued dedication in bringing this house to life for us!

I live on Oahu. We've been here for 4-1/2 years. I love it, but it's really busy. My favorite Island is Kauai, but I loved Maui too. Unfortunately, I haven't been to the Big Island yet, but hope to before we leave. Not sure if I'll be able to deal with the vog over there though...I'm so allergic to it, and we don't even get it as bad as you guys! I really, really want to see Volanoes National Park.

I would be really surprised if HGTV builds on Oahu. There's not all that much "prime" real estate left, that I know of anyway, and it's already so crowded. Not to mention that it's wicked expensive to live here if you're not military. Well, even if you are military...

Sorry, late to jump in on this one. I've been busy...

Oahu has 3 craters: Diamond Head, Koko, and Punchbowl.

I was wondering the very same thing when the mirror behind the door was revealed. Seems kind of redundant to have two full-length mirrors in such close proximity. But, being that the one of the mirrors can be easily moved, I'm sure that another, more appropriate place for it can be found. As it is now, it looks to be more of a space-filler for that part of the wall than anything else.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there aren't any snakes in Hawaii. Although, there are cows, flowers, and plenty of Asian food. :o)

I've been lurking around the blog since the sweepstakes started, and noticed that you and 'renee' are chock full of info! I, for one, greatly appreciate it! :o) I have seen the new DH blog. Those are some crazy hints! I can't wait to see where the new house will be. Although, it won't matter for me, because I'm going to win the Green Home! [wink-wink]

Very nice that your husband is attached to Signal! My husband has done just about everything that can be done in the Army, with the exception of medical, but has been in Signal for the longest. He's the communications guy! And, he retires in 3 years, with hopes of living out retirement in the NE area. He will have served a total of 28 years between Reserves & Active Duty by the time he retires in 2013, so I figured the least I could do is win him the Green Home! It's perfect for the two of us and our fur-kids, and will put us much closer to family. My fingers are crossed! :o)
