KY3 : Squaring Off About K-2 | KY3 News, Weather, Sports - Springfield, MO | Local News

Ya, they are picking of voters left and right doing stuff like this. Ward Franz from West Plains MO is responsible for putting this to the house. The problem with the laws are: 1. A felony for K2 now your going to give kids and education in Prison.. They go in for K2 and come out with a PHD in smuggling, cooking dope and what ever else they learn from REAL criminals. 2. If they would legalize Medical Cannabis in MO alot of your K2 use will stop. 3. Kids/Teens if they want to get high they will find a way to do so.. And can with plenty chemicals in your own home. I recently took a trip to Colorado, land of legal medical cannabis they had no idea what this K2 fiasco was about. See Colorado doesn't have a K2 problem because they have legalized MMJ for medical reasons. There are lots of people who take it for pain control just cause it is legal (k2) now its banned in quite a few towns within our state.

KY3 : Squaring Off About K-2 | KY3 News, Weather, Sports - Springfield, MO | Local News

What makes me mad about the entire issue is some people are using this substance for pain control. Since it's legal. Personally I dont like it nor do I use it. When Ron Richards is approached about HB 1670 Medical Cannabis for Chronically and Terminally ill patients he doesn't have the time nor does he have the votes. Its really funny that it has never left his desk as he doesn't want it to pass. It was said it was talked about in with the K2 on the floor and was voted down so we are told. NOT enough votes, a common quote we get from his office. There are countless emails that are sent to our elected officials and they do not do the job they were voted in for but for their own personal agenda's. Why should people have to suffer over personal bigotry of our elected officials. When you cast your vote this coming up year for reps and senators.. just ask yourself what has any of them done for you.. Or your community.. E-mails are deleted and blocked. Our voices do not count even when your face to face with these people. Medical Cannabis helps thousands of people with their every day lives. I have seen this first hand and seen the acceptance of it. In the lands of medical legalization things are good for some. People are treated affectively cannabis and can go about living productive days. I just dream of a day when I can say.. This is a great day, my pain is at a minimum today.. But no I deal with horrible pain daily and can't get help from so called Medical Professionals in my area. They don't have to expect that I tend to treat pain with Cannabis but they darn sure should give me something that is affectively treating my symptoms instead of taking things away. And the media does a great job putting things together as well. Medical Cannabis activists are not backing K2 they are against the government "making laws over incense "It says on the package 'not for human consumption.' In all caps I might add. If you're dumb enough to smoke incense they maybe you do need to get sick. they are only making it worse. Now its going to be shoved underground and made higher, more unsafe and anyone can get their hands on it.. Do you think drug dealers care how old you are to buy something as long as you have money its yours. And its for the sake of our children. Let me tell you.. you kids can get worse. They can rob you of your pain medications (narcotics), get meth, sniff glue, huff paint, Huff Readi Whip, any are-sol cans, free on from your air conditioners. Should we start banning all of this.

I would have to agree with you about these doctors. What will they do next outlaw the energy drinks?? I think doctors need to be careful when they "diagnose" something like this. I live in pain every day and I have had my doctor tell me "you shouldn't be feeling pain" or "That can't hurt like that". I used to drink 2 Rockstar drinks per day and sodas on top of that. I know people who drink beer and red bull all night and never have problems. I would defiantly get a second opinion.

Instead why don't these lawmakers lower their pay. The average wage for these people who only are in session 4 months get over 31,000. Why don't they lower THEIR wages. We all know some of these legislators are only for big business and not for the people.. Just another example of your tax dollars at work!

Temporarly inablilily to feel pain.. MY Gosh that is what Im looking for.. LOL It just blows my mind that this REP can go the distance for gettting something off of the street but doesn't return phone calls or emails from his constituants. What he should be worried about is the hundreds of his community that is in favor or legalizing Medical Cannabis for the sick and dying of MO. Ya, lets just clean the streets up.. An easier way to do this is to allow the sick and dying access to medical cannabis. Whats next?? you know kids die from huffing gas, glue, spray cans and more. Are we going to make those substances illegal too.. And don't forget kids are dying from huffing antifreeze from air conditioners. They drink alcohol and more we going to make that illegal too??

Bravo. Bless you and your family Pro4pot. Im sad your wife has such a hard time and am glad at least she found greatness in Cannabis. Its just too bad our House of Representatives are not all compassionate. MO HB1670 would benefit people just like this and more. Mr. Ron Richards was asked today about this House Bill and was asked what was it about and he was told, Medical Cannabis and He put his hand up and said. NO GO AWAY. Nice compassion there isn't it?? We have jumped threw hoops trying to get an appointment and are told Mr. Richards is a busy man. A group of us went to the capital today to ask for support some offices opened their doors and talked with us but he wouldn't speak with us at all. You know what I would like is a debate with the admin of the house. People could hear from both sick and well.

You know I would medicate in the privacy of my home. Just to know I could medicate myself without the fear of prosecution is something I dream of. But I don't think one should have to move from their homes just so they can live a pain free life. The states that have the laws for Medical Cannabis don't let you run around and just smoke wherever you please. YOU have to be in the privacy of your home or in a place where others (streets) can not see you. The federal 5 can medicate where ever they please and law enforcement can not do anything to them. They are federally permitted their Cannabis they get it for free.

I would love to see the day when I don't have to take one pill!! But that is not my reality. I won't ever get better, there are no cures for chronic pain or fibromyagia. Im most positive I won't ever be in the workplace again. I have more bad days than good.
Reefer madness has a hard hold its easy just to follow along what people say than to do the research and look for yourself. President Nixon had the Shaffer report and didn't like the findings and wanted it rewritten. Oh but is that the same guy who said.. "IM not a crook" As for children getting Cannabis, they already have it. They are also sniffing glue, gasoline, spray cans and choking themselves. If our children are educated on the truths of drugs far less kids would do them. One family lost their teenage daughter when she was sniffing freon out of their air conditioner she dropped right there. Its okay guys if people are against Cannabis its their American right to feel the way they do. But to block it from helping people who are sick and need it to live with less pain shouldn't be happening. What is your responses to the mothers who give it to their Autistic children and thank the heavens that they have their child back? Or the guy who has spasms so badly he can't hardly sit on the couch then 3 puffs later he is sitting there talking about his Cannabis therapy? We can have a great discussion without ignorance.

:) Yep, see how much education costs and this is what I like doing. Glad you saw the article for its worth. That is the problem with these studies. Just because its in your system one day doesn't mean you just smoked it. Im not trying to get it legalized totally (thought it would be cost effective) I want the sick and dying to be able to use something that really helps us.

I wouldn't need a 40 acre farm to medicate myself.. Thats just silly talk. Just what is listed in the bill 7 plants (3 mature/4 immature) and 1 oz per plant = 3 oz. It not only would change the classification it would allow MO sick and dying access to their medication.

Problem with that research is it doesn't list the deaths. Testing for Cannabis really needs to be changed, I could smoke a joint on Monday and say I take a drug test on Thursday its going to show up in my system. So then they would say.. Oh she is under the influence on Thursday when in fact I wouldn't be on Thursday.

Okar: The 13 pills I ingest daily isn't just pain meds its my total med list and actually I made a mistake I take up to 15 daily plus any tylenol I have to take as well. Here I will list them for you: Neurontin 3 (800mg pills daily) 1 every 8 hours Ultram 6(50mg tablets daily) 2 every 8 hours Zanaflex 3 (4mg tablets daily) 1 every 8 hours Flexiril 1 (10mg tablet at night) Savella 2 (50mg tablets daily) MO HB1670 not only reclassifies it in MO but will allow patients who have a doctor recommendation to grow 7 plants (3 mature and 4 immature) plus would allow patients to have up to 1 oz per plant equaling 3 oz of Cannabis we could have. " 195.580. As used in sections 195.580 to 195.589, the following terms mean: (1) "Adequate supply", an amount of marijuana collectively possessed between the qualifying patient and the qualifying patient's primary caregivers that is not more than is reasonably necessary to ensure the uninterrupted availability of marijuana for the purpose of alleviating the symptoms or effects of a qualifying patient's debilitating medical condition; provided that an "adequate supply" shall not exceed three mature marijuana plants, four immature marijuana plants, and one ounce of usable marijuana per each mature plant;" taken from HB1670 I live in pain 24/7 even with the wonderful pharma that is suppose to help. I wouldn't have to have a joint sticking out of my mouth. It would be just like taking Tylenol or Aspirin say like every 4 hours or so. You could ask any of my family and they will tell you I am miserable more than I am well. I have been sick for a while and I see it this way. Im not going to get any better and my condition is very Chronic. Sure there will be some who abuse it, kids will get their hands on it if they want it. Look at these kids huffing paint, glue, spray cans, ready whip cans and more. Should we make these substances illegal because kids get it?? Obama made it clear to leave the sick and dying along with their caretakers alone in the states where Cannabis is legal for them to obtain. That is another thought I have, why is it okay for some people to live a better life and not others. How can our federal government give Cannabis to 5 people monthly at the cost of taxpayers and they say I can't do it.. To me that is a double standard.
