I think that it WON'T DOWNGRADE the baseband. It will just NOT upgrade it (so you will have the 2.2 firmware's baseband with 2.2.1 firmware. There is no baseband downgrade yet and it might never be... If you updated your 3G with itunes and you want an unlock then... you are f****d... And maybe permanantly because the new baseband update was only to close the security hole that yellowsn0w used. I'm sorry :(

I think that he must update only when he got something serious to tell us. And he is doing a great job to moderate the comments. It's not full of spam. You can find info here too. (and also we have the same nic XD)

No dude! If he does all the people will download it and they will not know how to use and they will start swearing... It's useless to most people now (as the ipod won't boot unless you are on a pc to apply the redsn0w patch) so we better just wait :)
