Haven't we stuffed enough money down this particular rat hole? I guess they could change the name again, how about Global Scariness!

Benedict Arnold was an American war hero before he was an American traitor. John Murtha was an EX-marine and an embarrassment to the Corps!

The strength of the Tea Party movement comes from it's lack of leaders. Big buck conventions, self proclaimed founders and leaders (I didn't vote for any of these folks), is the beginning of the political exclusionary process that set the movement in motion in the first place.

As for Palin, we should be very careful of letting someone jump in front of the parade, particularly an established politician. When she came out for Hoffman in NY-23 last year, I said to myself, "I guess she gets what we've been talking about". Then she announces that she will campaign for McCain, the poster boy for "go along to get along" and the same beltway insider politico she decries in her speech.

Her explanation doesn't wash with me. It says, "repaying insider favors is more important than what the candidate stands for", that's the very reason for the Tea Party movement! We've already seen what a "personality candidate" does, we should not get caught up in that ourselves.

The RNC can make up whatever they like, I have my own litmus test. It's a simple fix, it's called primaries. Let the voters choose the candidates and let the RNC stay out of it until that is done.

The RNC is still trying to figure out how to back RINO's and get the voters to like it. They are tone deaf and that's why I stopped donating to the RNC in '06 and started donating to individual campaigns.

I ask Mr. Steele and company this question; If I, a forty plus year republican voter, wouldn't vote for your last presidential candidate, how do figure to get my vote for more of the same?

See Einstein's definition of insanity!

It seems naive for him to be undermining his own position before he's even seated, unless he's sending the message that he can be bought. Brown got a lot of help from all over the country, nobody has enough close friends to get elected to the senate.

I can. It is just that kind of party first, I owe a favor, mindset that put the Tea Party movement in motion. She got big points for going against Gingrich's endorsement in NY-23 when he was playing the same game. Now she's doing the same thing. I not happy with loyalties before principle. No more nose holding!

"forward-thinking progressivism or oligarchical fascism"

What's the difference? It's the same thing!

Speaking as one who has benefited from the skills of our Navy's fleet corpsmen, on the occasion of my discovery, that unlike Superman, I was not faster than a speeding bullet, they are definitely not corpse men! Thanks, Doc, wherever you are!

That sounds about right. We are currently experiencing a "weather event" , you know what used to be called a storm, and all the TV bobble-heads are out in the streets armed with their tape measure fresh from the garage toolbox trying to measure the snowfall. I love the irony of some moron standing in the snow along a roadway telling me to stay off the road because it's not safe to be out. I'm particularly fond of hurricane season when they stand on the beach.
