First, unfortunately, you can only receive PIN to PIN messages, you can not send them with Blackberry Connect. BBM will not work at all. Blackberry Application Suite (http://sems.org/entry.asp?ENTRY_ID=339) supported it, but it only works on certain devices like Xperia X1 and HTC Fuze.

I wouldn't hold by breath for it. It has been a long time since there has been a new Blackberry Connect version. Check xda-developers forums, someone might have done it. I don't have an HD2 to test.

Actually Larry, the one I am testing is not Blackvoib (I also tested that some time). There is at least 3 different companies with SIP products for Blackberry, two are in beta (Blackvoib and the one above) and one full version - http://mykryptofon.com/

I got good news, as soon as he can implement the buddy list, he will start looking for more testers. I'll keep you posted.

The development is a work in progress and I wouldn't even call it beta. I'll let everyone know if the author looks for any more testers.

On a side note, he made it work with Asterisk 1.6.

Unfortunately, BB Connect does not support PIN-to-PIN messaging fully. It only receives them. You cannot send PIN messages. And there is no Blackberry Messenger client for WM6. Your only option is to try Blackberry Application Suite, which contains full pin-to-pin messaging, as well as the BB Messenger. See the comments onhttp://www.sems.org/entry.asp?ENTRY_ID=357 for a download link.

Unfortunately, unless the author agrees to it, I cannot share it. I'll check with him, but can't make any promises.

I had changed radio/rom many times after my successful runs, so I can't help there much. All I remember that it was Win Mo 6 and it was one of Dutty's ROMs from xda-developers.

Lowercase letters denote there is no data connection, ie. gprs vs GPRS or edge vs EDGE. Maybe you are in a bad coverage area? Also, I am presuming on T-Mo, you have enabled BES (in US, T-Mo has different plans for BIS only and BIS & BES.)

I haven't seen any recent releases of BBConnect. Makes me think they are phasing it out.
