Do any of you put forth the effort to email the council members & the Mayor on these issues or just vent on here? I ask you, if you want too vent you should do so with an email to them. They don't get on the blog to find out what we think. Give them your thoughts like you are to all of us. We can cry to each other all we want, it will get us no where. They need to here it!

I am sure "Darterio" is a fine Latino, white or Asian youth with a high school diploma & a job. Who got the weapon with hard earned money & purchased it legally buy applying for a permit to purchase. You know all these gun laws put in place to keep the guns out of criminals hands are really working aren't they? NOT. they are criminals & don't follow the rules !

Bottom line is, if we just put it back where it was before the flood we wouldn't have even be reading this article. The building is fine. Most others rebuilt back were they where, but God no, not the fire dept or the library. Good enough for the linn co sheriifs & the CRPD & others.

Nice, once again the victim in the case is arrested while the perps go free. I will not be calling the CRPD anytime soon. I will tkae care of the problem myself. I also won't be firing into the air. I practice at the range & can hit a target!

*the construction of a new Central Fire Station on First Avenue East and a new west-side fire station ($6.6 million).Could have used the old one, WASTE OF MONEY.
*5 million each for the new library WASTE OF MONEY
*new Cedar River Trail underpass under the rebuilt CRANDIC Railroad bridge below Eighth Avenue SE ($450,000). WASTE OF MONEY
*and $4 million for the renovation of the former federal courthouse for city use. SO IT WAS GOOD FOR THE FEDS BUT NOT FOR OUR CITY< waste of money !!!!!
