It certainly was a good answer and a good comeback.. but.. Newt will never be a 'real' Conservative, never was one, never thought like one, never acted like one. Conservatism has been so bastardized (in the language), that most people just assume being a Republican automatically makes you a Conservative. You don't have to go far to find the fake ones.. like both of the Bushs', McCain, and Huckabee to name a few. (Compassionate Conservative? What kind of crap was that?) Being a rough go-getter big thinker type makes you popular in the short term but once people realize what Newt really is.. and that is a stealth RINO. Newt is barely a Republican let alone a Conservative. I am frankly amazed more people don't call him out on that. BTW none of the current candidates are 'true' Conservatives... and that is a damn shame.

Rabies is incurable (arguably for one case), so it is 100% fatal.... (or 99.9999). People get bit all over the US hundreds of times (1000's?) by dogs every year.. but since over here rabies has been nearly eliminated from dogs you can see why it might be brushed off anyplace else we are at. I don't see anything nefarious here at all.. just a series of mistakes from everyone. But sadly as it is, once he passed that incubation period, it was inevitable he was going to die from it.

Just a misleading lead-in on the article that to me, frankly, is kind of annoying.
