When I get crap in the mail from them, I open it up, extract the envelope, seal it and send it back to them empty...and they have to pay the postage. Heck, I might as well try to keep the PO in business with the added benefit of draining at least a tiny bit of AARP's profits.

Wow, this is really strange; I was thinking of this movie just the other day and couldn't remember the name of it nor John Savage's name. What I DID remember was the cheer: "Jer-ry! Jer-ry!". All Google did for me was bring up Jerry Lewis and Jerry Springer.

Great flick, thanks for reminding us of it!

Earlier today on YouTube I watched a short documentary from Sundance, "Mr. Okra". It's about a man in New Orleans who sells produce from his truck. It was interesting, funny as hell in spots and unless I missed it, has no liberal bent to it. In fact, I'd say it was the opposite, with a "conservative" viewpoint of self-reliance along with a love for one's neighborhood and friends.

Are you sure he's a "leftist loon"? There was an article in here a half year or so ago that didn't say anything in that regard. The last political contribution I found (after a quick search) showed he gave two grand to GWB in 2004.

I do agree with you about not being able to separate the "artist" from their political leanings and disagree with LB Mayer about 'losing out.". I consider it as a minor boycott with my not wanting to support them in any way. Sure, anyone has the right to say what they like, even if it's profoundly stupid. I reserve the right to call them a dumbass and to keep my wallet closed in regards to their "art".

I wonder what Deborah Weiss thinks of all this.

Just kiddin'....I don't care what she thinks.

I won't watch Paula Deen because she had M. Obama on her show, and refuse to watch Rachel Ray because of how she gushed over Obama on her talk show. I also got tired of seeing the chubby redheaded chick on "Ace of Cakes" wearing her Obama t shirt.

Michelle's organic garden isn't so organic because of the toxic sludge the Clintons used for fertilizer.
