This is a great subject and Todd Falcone on his Monday call did an hour on the 25 things to avoid like the plague in business. It was exactly what we all should strive for. I took great notes. Go to his site and check it out.

I have been following this and have to agree with Michael and ConcernedMLMr in regards to not ever jumping into anything without doing some educated homework. I have "Been There" and used my emotions to make quick decisions based on what I was being told by an experienced networker.

I have a mentor that says he never gets involved with something not at least 6 months old and has stuck by that...thus saving his credibility. I am sure a lot of us have lost that in the last year with all the opportunities that have come and GONE.

As far as customer service, there are other very legitimate companies that are out there and do talk to their reps personally. As a matter of fact, just this Saturday, a vice president of sales was available to assist in helping a member help another member. Starting with an email to the company on a Saturday, got an immediate email requesting the member to call the vp of sales personally, continued verbally and question answered. WOW! That is personal service.

I am not saying not to go with anyone specific, just that this thread was about dist cease and desist from GV attorneys. It seems to have gone another way.

I am so sad for all the folks that put their hopes and trust in the leaders, both in the company and field. I was one of them for awhile and I know how good they are at making you believe everything is going to be ok. We were always pushed ahead by the "What If's" and that can be very powerful when you have big dreams. What is also sad for me is that we brought friends into this mess and they are still hopeful and staying because of what they have been told by the very talented leaders that have many years experience at "saying what you want to hear".
I really can't believe some of the things I am reading here and I don't understand why someone would even consider this at all after doing any homework. Integrity should far outweigh $$$.
I have long since left and want to thank you, Troy, for giving me the strength and posts to let me decide for myself by doing my own due diligence.
I can only hope for those that can't make that cut, to have the authorities do what needs to be done.
