There is a Mosque 4 blocks away from ground zero. There are also OVER 400 Mosques in NYC alone.
Bullcrap. It's idiots like you who can't stand up for this country. We have always been "tolerant". But now WE can't place a manger in our own towns. I've been to the middle east. It's a known fact that the Muslims prefer to erect Mosques on important places, just like the towers. No shame on me, Shame on you. Don't give me your anti Muslim crap, either. I work with several. That's a catchphrase for anybody who doesn't agree with this Muslim debate, and it's a cop out.
That's just the problem. The Feds gave them money to do upgrades on it. They decided to spend the money elsewhere. They also opted NOT to get flood insurance, which is just idiotic.
Something they forget, and that is if the Muslims want to live in the US, they assimilate into OUR country, not shove their religion down our throats every single day, and try to change OUR way of life. The US has bent over backwards trying to appease this group.

Mexico needs to take care of it's own people. It's not up to the States to take care of them. Did you know that a full 50% of Hispanics use some form of Welfare in the US? If the Mexicans would as much effort into reforming their own government as they do in getting US's freebies, things would be a lot better. They drain the system, don't pay taxes.
Ctiger. Fair enough. However, it isn't health care "reform" as it is government run health care. That's what the trouble is. People want heath care reform, not government run health care. This is not about "reforming" health care at all. It is about government running the health care. This is a media word. If they said government run health care, it sounds less attractive. Same as "insurgents", it sounds more attractive than ;enemy" does.
Ctiger, it wasn't so much about the republicans not wanting Obama's agenda, as it was congress. The democrats are in power, and it still can't get though. One thing Obama needs to learn from all this is that the majority of Americans do not want government run health care. While something does need to be done about the outrageous cost of health care, the people have time and again seem the complete mess the government has made of out medicare, etc.
And the people are getting tired of the blame game. You can't continually blame another without taking responsibility for your own agenda and the "now".
Obama's biggest problem right now is that he trying to please everybody, and that just doesn't work.
I don't think it's racial; people are simply getting tired of the gangbangers coming from Chicago with their attitudes. None of them work, they contribute nothing positive to society at all, but take everything; including there own brother's lives.
