My daughter in law is from Canada and has been in America for 6 yrs. Her family (mom, dad, bro & sis) experienced the health care system and are adamantly against national health care because of the wait time, and rationing of care. I have several serious health problems and am only 53. I am terrified that if this passes those of us in my shoes will end up kicked to the curb and allowed to die. I pay a lot for insurance and was on cobra until the end of April and now am attempting to be accepted into the state pool insurance until I am eligible for medicare. My husband is a retired marine and has VA benefits. He needs a new stint in his heart and has an appt. in 6 more weeks and it has already been 4 weeks. He just became eligible for medicare and went to a doctor last week and gets his new stint on Tuesday. If this is how the government takes care of their military that served in war then imagine how bad it will be with everyone on nationalized health care.
BHO is totally destroying this nation. Yes, he is keeping his promises....that is why we did not vote for him and can not wait until 2010 and 2012 to see if the American people have woke up to the horrible mistake made in the last election....if we still have the freedom to vote then.

Come on down! I was born and raised here in Texas and have lived all over the State and also lived in Arizona and Colorado - always to return home to Texas. I love Texas and doubt I will ever leave it again. I will never forget 9/11, and also know that I can not even imagine the pain you, your family and others in your shoes experienced. It is sad to know that this president and his admin does not acknowledge the need to protect America. I am not a Bush fan, however he deserves cudo's for protecting us after the attacks.
I live in Fort Worth and it is terrific, anything you could want within driving distance with a small town feel. Austin and San Antonio are also terrific as is East Texas....hey maybe I need to change jobs and go for marketing Texas! You know that "somewhere in Kenya a village is missing it's idiot" that is how I feel about BHO. I love America and believe in our constitution and founding fathers and that we are a Christian nation. I attend the tea parties, write senators and congress and even the White house on many issues that bother me. Do they listen? I doubt it, however it isn't my responsibility what they do with it, it is my responsibility to take action to defend America.
I believe we should begin testing our politicians prior to their taking office about the constitution, bill of rights, federalist papers and of course the declaration of independence. They take an office to defend our constitution and yet this administration is shredding it as fast as it can.

I was not a fan of President Bush, however I have respect for his convictions and principles. He did direct his administration in a manner that kept America safe after 9/11. I no longer feel safe, it is kind of like waiting for the next shoe to drop with Obama - he bows to kings, laughs and enjoys communist America haters while at the same time he is taking our rights and freedoms away as quickly as possible not to mention bankrupting America and shredding our constitution and denying that we are a Christian nation founded under God. God help us. I would take Bush back in a NY second, and did not vote for him when he ran either time. He is a true American.

I am at a loss for words. (A 1st for me!) It is time for a revolution to take back America. My grand dad and uncle were in WWII and my husband in the Vietnam war - they fought for freedom. I never realized that the constitution was a pick and choose document - depending on who had the power. We the people have the power and it is time to remind the government who they work for. I have always thought that BHO is the anti christ - or at the least the one to lead up to the anti christ. It is time the American people hit our knees and return this great land to God and His leadership. As N. Korea and Iran are getting crazy, Israel will stand up to their enemies, with or without the U.S.. The end is nearing. God help the person that tells me that I am not allowed to hold "gatherings" in my home. God Help US - God Bless America and all of His children. I am proud to state that I am a Christian and am very grateful for the life HE has blessed me with.

My husband and I attended the San Antonio tea party and had a load of fun! We live in Fort Worth and upon returning read in the local paper that FW had 3,000 attendees and that doesn't count the #'s in Dallas, the Mid Cities, Denton and all the other areas close that participated! It bothered me at first hearing the remarks by various media people, then I realized it was because they know we are on to something here. They are afraid, rightfully so.
My son, 23, and about to graduate from college this weekend told me what he had heard and told me that it made sense to him that we were off base. Then I explained to him the purpose of the tea parties - it isn't just about taxes, it is so much more. When we finished talking he said that he wished someone would talk about that on local stations and radio - instead of calling us crazies...this encouraged me to work harder at spreading our message. I have never felt so strong about anything in my life as I do about these tea parties, marches and everything it will take for us to regain control of America.
It hurt my heart again to see our president this past weekend with Chavez like everything is just wonderful and being so apologetic about our great land. I am committed to see this through, not so much for me, but for my grandchildren not even conceived yet, great grandchildren, and all future generations. I want them to grow up free to live the American Dream....united one country Under God with liberty and justice for all.

Governor Perry also stated that secession is not the right move....at least not now. He is just making a stand and letting Washington know we won't continue to put up with their arrogant, unpatriotic, unconstitutional direction that America is going. Don't read into something that is not there.

U need to get a life, because you sure don't know what you are talking about when you talk about Texas as you have in this and other posts. Until you have some of the patriotism and passion of Texans and are fiscally responsible as we are and are a proud American and Texan (or any other state that is fiscally responsible) you really need to keep your thoughts to yourself so you don't appear to be the idiot you must be.
