I was alerted to this article by a friend. I appreciate the attention to my report, but I'm surprised at the anger it generated. You're certainly correct that Muslim terrorism is on a completely different moral level than Christian curriculum in schools. The story's title (which I didn't write) and its opening sentences do seem to make that equivalence, and that certainly wasn't intentional. The story meant to call attention to Rep Myrick's double standard: She openly criticizes all manner of mainstream Islamic organizations, but supports the NCBCPS, which is, by most accounts, a group on the fringes of Christianity that promotes something two courts have found to be unconstitutional.
I'm certainly not a hater of Christianity - I'm at church every Sunday. I'm also not a left-wing academic snob. If you take the time to read some of my other stories, you'll see that. I'd recommend this one, for starters:
