If food made people sick but they had to eat it would you judge them failed morally and encourage them to starve with dignity and purity? The act of living exposes all to the disease. If the human species were celebate there would be more children and no more people in short order. Most people don't live in the shining sterile bubble of our fortunate America's reality. Even there life itself is the vector, morals or not...
As for a disease it has no morals, no religion, no borders, no restraint, it just kills: men women and children with ease and makes no discrimination for our of illusory and often hypocritical moral insitutions. Only love and hope can conquer a disease like this and in the end aren't those our highest values? Without those what point is any religion?
The less you treat it the more suffering in the world and the more horrific the cost to mankind. I used to know very little about AIDS & HIV like yourself , I too had many blind spots in my world view, I didn't even know it...and then I began to travel extensively in the 3rd world. Horror and sadness are not words that can describe what untreated HIV can do to the world and to families. I pray you never know anyone who dies of AIDS, and I pray even more that you never see them die of AIDS, it is not something that you can witness that not change the core of who you are forever, pray you never find out why people like me tremble when we talk about this disease.
I hope you read this, you don't have to agree with me but my story is true: I am an arch conservative and a parent, we live a very conservative family lifestyle and we are both protestants, she is an immigrant from Asia: My wife has HIV, I pay her health insurance costs and she literally gets the best care money can buy. Her medications are tailored specifically to her DNA that way she gets maximum benefit with no side effects. Years ago her medications were more expensive and some had horrible side effects (AZT for example). As long as she takes her meds she will never get AIDS. Our child was born HIV free as a result of the medications, I am HIV free as a result of her medications. The more people with HIV that get medications the fewer other people in the world that will contract HIV. If you medicate the infected you will break the cylce of the disease and reduce its spread and cost to the rest of humanity.
I'm a Missourian, the state is being consumed by the most utterly corrupt and fawning socialist/facist politicians in history their arrogance is breath taking. In the old days there was some of this but nothing on the scale of open brazen corruption we are seeign today it is just mind boggling.

Man we need another Declaration of Independence movement.

Please post the names of the City officials involved in this travesty. They should hear from the People of this country. We arent terrorists for demanding jack booted thugs in local government are disciplined or called out for their horrific actions in this case. Post their names we will call and email them endlessly and when the local election comes there will likely be firings and layoffs...Don't sit silently back, Americans can help we still have a voice.
