Had this been an argument about him having 5 broken down chevy's in the unmown front lawn it would not have been an issue. The morons in this scenario decided to outlaw something as inoffensive as a modest flagpole with an American flag. If an HOA has draconian rules we have the consumers choice of avoiding that subdivision. We sign certain covenants which within the rules of common sense should be fine unless interpreted idiotically by nitwits (ostentatious displays- what does that mean). If they add something like this flagpole provision after we have moved in we must fight. I venture to say in this case that the responsible nitwits will soon be raplaced on the vaunted council. Homeowners of the world UNITE, and dyslexics of the world UNTIE!

I am currently a Field Engineer conducting operations at the cutting edge of the Ballistic Missile Defence System. I am working on the newest of the 6 transportable RADARS created under GWB for the purpose of fulfilling Reagans SDI dream. I was astonished at the TOTAL lack of real and actual bargaining for concrete results that accompanied this administrations unilateral decision to abandon a European missile shield.

They were later seen beating the responsible beavers to death with short sections of hempen rope.

Bangkok, Thailand is spelt wit k's.
Any filtering software is going to have its glitches.
It is cute, we will get over it.

More importantly I have started my own company that hybridizes Aspergillus niger(The primary enzyme ingredient in Beano) with common ryegrass. At only 12$ per pound this genetically altered product can reduce bovine flatulance by 70% (hat tip: RAM) This will reduce the carbon footprint of ranchers and most Mosai villagers by the same percentage and save trillions in carbon credits. At 15 pounds required per acre it will also cost trillions of real and actual dollars to plant, but think of the children! THE CHILDREN! You must mortgage their future for their future or else!

Scott,
The 3,500 long range missiles could be used to target the number one emitter of greenhouse gasses, Cows-Vaca-Bovines-Braahmaan- you know the flatulance emitters.

Quit it with the oldies there RAM! Listen to the queens of "Rock and Roll" instead. Sorry King Elvis they beat you by a few years:

RAM,
I was out in 3rd Herd (3rd Infantry Div.) country not too long ago. I had to go to El Paso for a mission at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico in October. It was successful and the world is safer because of it, for that I am thankful as well. I loved those "Tank Crossing" signs and the Oryxx were beautiful. I unfortunately made a road runner, a cayote, a fox and several fluffy bunnies into pavement pizza frappe during my drives to work.
The SGT forbids you to mope around the holidays. God never goes on vacation. Life is good and the blessings are many. That Red Baron pizza sounds marginally better than my TV dinner.

I came home from work yesterday and had a banquet $1.29 microwave turkey and dressing dinner in my depressing little hotel room in Santa Barbara county California. I was immensely thankful for it. I WILL be home for Christmas. May God bless you all and hope you remember: Jesus is the reason for the seasons- All of them!

RAM,
I cringed at that a little extra having come so soon after Scotts smiling face faded off the screen. I have read Mr. Whittle's writing at length and find him to be one of the most logical and cogent people in my experience. His problem seems to be with "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Proverbs 3:5.
He is a logical man to the point of being unable step out on faith due to his own immense understanding of his world. His use of G-D as a punctuation mark was not intended to alienate us but was a common "I am hip/cool/in-touch/fly/insert next-generation description" phrase logically inserted to drive his point home. Alienate us it does though.
