I am sorry that the kid got hurt, but I cannot understand why this is a national news story. There must be more important things going on in the world than a minor injury to a person not even in close proximity to the President.

This guy wants us to just shut up and take the crap that Congress and the Obama state socialists are dishing out.

He could not make a living selling used cars if he had not been elected to Congress.

He and his ilk expect us to sit by silently and watch the destruction of our country.

My answer: "Not hardly!" This jerk and his socialist pals haven't seen anything yet.

When you have no arguments, you can always attack with a meaningless label like "anti-education." Actually, I love those "California kids." I was one of them and so are all of my children. I want them to get the best education possible. I also want them to be mature enough to understand that they do not have an entitlement to an education subsidy by taxpayers, and, that working people are paying the bill. Some of these people are out of work now wondering how they will support their children. There are great rewards from self-reliance as opposed to looking to others to pay the freight. I would like to see these "California kids" become mature enough to understand that. By the way, the repeated obscenities add nothing to the weight of your comments.

Who said we should ignore the problem? For your information, I did not "put my feet up." I raised three children to be self-reliant adults who are now productive people with jobs which contribute to production and the overall economy. One of them did two tours in Iraq as a U.S. Marine, including heavy combat in the front lines in the first battle of Fallujah protecting your sorry ass. Why do we have to give people "incentives" to work hard to qualify for technology jobs that start at $60,000 per year right out of school? Maybe we should put them up at a fancy hotel, give them an open liquor account and tuck them in at night. More power to the Indians, Pakistanis and Chinese who are willing to put in the time to earn these degrees. We sure need their knowledge and skills and they deserve the rewards.
By the way, you seem to have an anger problem. Perhaps you should get help with that.

Well, maybe I was a little too hard on these children. Sadly, parents and the rest of society now try to do everything possible to protect the little darlings from anything unpleasant like work. It may not be entirely their fault that they have no idea what life is about. However, I have no sympathy at all for grown ups who have failed to adjust their attitude! Once, we were a nation of tough, self-reliant people.

Why do people need "incentives?" Yes, you actually have to work to get an engineering degree, as opposed to participating in endless, and meaningless, socialist/statist bull sessions as a humanities or social science major. You could be continuously drunk or stoned for all four years as an undergraduate and still get a degree in political science or "ethnic studies." All you have to do is spew out left wing slogans. Keep in mind that China is now graduating four times the number of engineers as is the U.S. A little scary, huh? The problem is not "incentives," it is terminal laziness.

Well, what a surprise! The whiny babies at state-subsidized schools are rioting because the working families, including single moms, are not paying enough taxes to support their beer parties at college. Like many people, I worked for pay every day that I was in college. A message for you spoiled self-absorbed twits: Believe it or not, you do not have a "right" to an education subsidy from working people paying taxes. If you have a problem financing your education you should quit school for a while and save the money to pay for it! And while you are at it, try growing up! No one is impressed by your meaningless "protests."

No one wants to see these animals convicted any more than I do, except, perhaps, relatives of their victims, but how will an unprejudiced jury be obtained now that the President of the United States has pronounced them guilty and certain to be convicted? Defense counsel will surely make the argument that these comments by Obama are certain to deny their clients a fair trial. Since the statement was broadcast worldwide, they will argue for dismissal. For Obama to make such a statement concerning a pending case of this magnitude is irresponsible beyond belief. No president in my time has committed such a gross interference in the criminal judicial process.

Let's see. The guns conceived, planned and executed this terrorist attack. Hasan only held them, right?

Same old politicians and same old politician bullshit.

I do not ask the media to be either objective or neutral, only that they not claim to be so when they are, in fact, partisan and biased. Many European media outlets are unabashedly partisan, and they make no claim to be otherwise. When one reads a particular French or Italian paper, one considers the facts reported in light of the political affiliation of that paper. Most people are intelligent and informed enough to make these critical judgments. Why are objectivity or neutrality characterized as virtues? Why not let us make up our own minds? In any event, nothing can be reported with pure objectivity. Even if the facts are purportedly related "straight up" without interpretation, language and style can and will be used, sometimes even unconsciously, to reflect the reporter's biases and influence the reader.
