Gun laws aren't being eased or loosened, they are being changed to recognize that law abiding citizens should have the right to defend themselves. The permits you mention in New York state are not the same as a concealed weapons permit. They permits to OWN the firearms. In the great states of this once great nation, we do not have to have permits to OWN guns, just to CARRY them outside the home. Guns save innocent lives more often then they take them. . . . My bad.
