MBTI is fun and helpful. Not many things are both. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, but good help is hard to find.

Continued --

So now, if it's possible that a slowing of global warming trend is happening but has been hidden (implied in leaked e-mails), what does it mean? We all want to know that. Makes me nauseous that science/politics/funding not only being mashed together but undistinguishable from one another.

Frankly, if the warming trend is in fact slowing on its own, I'll still recycle, etc. But the money for warming-alleviation could be well spent on addressing health care, poverty, etc. as far as I'm concerned. I sure don't want to energetically try to solve a problem that isn't really a big problem - too many genuine ones for that.

Hmm. Not sure tweets like "Yeah climategate is being Exposed:) Wonder if BO will ever make his mind up? Thanks God throw cap and trade away" can be characterized as "full of rage". (Full of bad writing, yeah sure.)

I cheer and imitate your commitment to responsible use of resources. Problem comes when big money and political capital need to get spent on a fix for something that was thought to be based on hard science, but now the data might be fudgified. Unforgivable on CRU's part because it shoots cause in the foot if the evidence is really there.

One could also assume that the closer one gets to God and the more of the Holy Spirit one has inside themselves, the less douchey one must become.

Not sure that this post contradicts the hypothesis. Depends on whether "be" and "claims to be" are synonyms. Or, in a retroflash, what the meaning of "is" is.

You are teaching your children to be skeptical about matters of faith (since you feel that exposure to church or VBS would be harmful). Conservative Christians teach their children to not be skeptical about matters of faith. Neither really seems to be the same as encouraging free inquiry. "Indoctrination" is a heavy-duty word -- but isn't the same thing going on in both cases, whatever you want to call it?

Please tell me there isn't really a St. Rhubarb out there. You're being creative, right?

The translation of the name of that church is "The Church of our Blessed Lady". It's in Dutch.

Good post. You make me laugh and think. Not sure about your #2, tho. Makes sense that we're born with curiosity first with no conclusions at all. Don't know that it would change where you end up.
