I want to unlock an iphone 3gs 4.2.1 bb 5.15.04 by using ipad baseband.
Should I use the actual redsnow or Redsn0w 0.9.6b5.
Is it necessary to update or I can stay on 4.2.1

Hi
My iphone 4 (4.2.1 bb 3.10..) is officially unlocked by orange (france) through itunes.
Now I'm using it with another carrier sim card (O2 uk) and I don't have the original sim card of the previous carrier (orange).
So if I update it to fw 4.3, do I need the first sim card (orange fr) to activate it or my current sim card (O2) will activate it?

I have 3gs 3.1.2 bb 5.11.07 jailbreaked and officially unlocked but I would like to upgrade it to 4.0.1 hoping that will resolve the problem of poor gps signal and then jailbreak with jailbreakme. My shsh are saved on cydia.
Can you tell me if that is possible and safe (I don't want lose my jailbreak) and how I should procede

My iphone is 3GS 3.1.3 baseband 05.13.04. I tried iOS 4.0 and then downgrade to 3.1.3 . Now, lockdown (app) is not working anymore. I deleted and downloaded again but it it just flash and disappear. I know that it doesn't work with iOS 4.0 but mine is 3.1.3 now. So if you get any idea please let me know
