The only public opinion that counts is whether or not the Waha Grill CUSTOMERS agree. It is America, they have their First Amendment rights to say what they want, and they have protection from persecution because of their religion. I probably wouldn't have had the guts to risk hurting my business by doing this, but if they do, then that is the price they have paid for their belief. I'm prouder of them standing up for their Freedom Of Speech than their religion, although that has to be part of it, because that is part of America. I will NOT tell these people that their attitude is not Christian, because the Bible calls homosexual behavior "an abomination."

It is incredible that an experienced elected official like Commissioner Brown would have this view of citizen involvement in their government. Democracy is an inherently messy system, but it is the one we have in America, and the one Brown signed up for when he ran for office. Brown has led the Commissioners in consistently ignoring written and verbal comment, up and including petitions signed by hundreds of his constituents. He regularly berates citizens offering comment. I for one would like to know what method of citizen involvement Brown would accept, or is his view that we should all just sit down and shut up?

So this is wonderful (for the Obamas). While my retirement account (and I AM retired) was virtually destroyed, Obama pays more in taxes than my total net worth. Sounds fair,,,except I don't get a dime from his taxes...I am still on a fixed income that is now down by 50%.
