First impressions can be detrimental to us can't they? But then again that is the generation we live in today. Students decide whether they will return to 77-40 (our youth ministry) within the first 2 minutes of arriving. That's a big deal. Hopefully we can not only reverse this fast-reaction-ism, but role model to those around us.

A few of the students in our local schools have been expelled because of sexting. It's the real deal! I hope no one is dismissing this trend as unimportant. Our kids are more than vulnerable to this thing. Praying for wisdom amongst our crew. But I too believe that informing our teens of the potential troubles that await them.

Ahhh Kira! Amazing post! What an abundance of resources! Thank you so much for your help. I'm sure our group will benefit from one of these projects. We've recently started something called
"I-NAM" projects ("It's Not About Me") and helping out the environment would be a great project.

Hmmm...interesting. I think that this could be a large and swooping theory, but the for the most part it makes sense. This is something that many Lead Pastors will not grasp (that is parents usually adults typically scare away teens) and it's tough to describe, but in the the next two year we will soon see.
