The false notion of ManMade Global Warming is exactly like the "emperor's new clothes" of the fable. The media and the Left are pretending, for political reasons, that CO2 causes "warming," when the reality is that it doesn't -- and there is no actual warming at all. What was truly depressing about the 2008 elections is that both John McCain and Barack Obama supported this nonsense. Those who could see that AlGore's MMGW had no substance were left without a viable candidate to support. For that matter, neither McCain nor Gore had a clue about the economy. We have to hope that Romney will run in 2012 - and that Obama will not have wrecked things irretrievably by then.

Obama is waiting for some polling to be completed before he decides what to do. They didn't prepare him for anything like this at Harvard Law School or at Rev. Wright's church. Too much time spent worrying about how to take down capitalism and the patriarchy. However, because the polling results may look something like these comments, don't be surprised if he doesn't end up authorizing some fairly aggressive action against these hoodlums.

Islam is supposed to be a religion that punishes theft ferociously, as indeed happens in Saudi Arabia, yet in Somalia you have a whole country basically profiting off of theft and nothing else. I have a fragrant viburnum by my walk that is a pleasant harbinger of spring. Normally it blooms on or within a day or two of March 25, and has done so for 20 years. This year, it STILL has not started blooming! If there were any truth to MM Global Warming, this Could Not Be.

No one to my knowledge ever said that everyone murdered in the death camps was Jewish. I was a Mormon missionary in France during the 1960's. A member of our church there had served in the French resistance during the war, helping downed American airmen over the border to safety in Spain. She was betrayed and sent to Auschwitz late in the war. By the time the camp was liberated, her weight had dropped to 67 pounds and she was near death, too weak to walk. Fortunately, she recovered. While she was there, she saw PLENTY of Jews. Moreover, she could smell their burning flesh from the crematorium, every day and every night . Could never stand barbecue as a result.

In addition, my Jewish law partner's father was 19 years old in Poland in 1939. He was afraid of what Hitler would do to the Jews, and managed to get to Danzig and on a boat out of the country on the eve of the Nazi invasion. His family, who had been in their small town for generations and were prominent there, hoped that everything would work out even if Hitler invaded, and could not stand to leave their possessions. Every last one of them were murdered during the war.

Sure, the Nazis and Soviets murdered millions of other people before and during the war, of which the Communists' deliberate starvation of 7 million Ukrainians in the 1930's is perhaps the worst example. But the Jews of Europe suffered the greatest percentage destruction -- coming close to annihilation.
