Just look at it this way, our NATO allies allow women to serve in combat jobs including submarines if they can meet the physical, medical and psychological standards for the job. The first country to put women on submarines was the Royal Norwegian Navy and in 1995 the Royal Norwegian Navy has it's first female Submarine captain. In 1998 the Royal Australia Navy followed the same thing and allowed women on their submarines as well and after that Canada and Spain as well. So if the US has an issue, I would tell them to go look at our allies in Norway, Canada, Australia, Spain and ask them how they adapt, over come and allowed women to serve on their submarines.
The thing with schools like Norwich University is that they are majority of Army, Navy, Air force and Marine corp. Your rarely see a US Coast Guard commission program at schools like Norwich University. From what I am told about Norwich University is that it's the West Point lite because Norwich University is the place that founded ROTC
What's scary is that one of them is named after Peter Stinson
That's why when I had blogger, I learned the ugly truth about blogger being owned by Google and the quality started to slip. With Wordpress, everything is faster and people have wider input on what to put into wordpress. In wordpress, you have far greater freedom and control than you would with blogger. One feature I like about wordpress, is the templates and the ability to block or moderate people by name, email and IP. Even the stats are far better than bloggers.
Very good and So far it looks far more sleeker than blogger
I think the Coast Guard's expertise in hunting down drug runners, Go fast boats and are very good at chasing people on the high seas will translate very well in chasing down pirates as well.
It's about time you thought about moving to Wordpress. Wordpress is a heck of alot better and it gives you more features that blogger will never give.
I think the top of the photo was taken out of Sector Long Island Sound/Station New Haven's dock
I think it would be nice to see the Coast Guard Auxiliary deployed with the COMFORT. I know their are auxiliarist, who are Doctors, Nurse's, paramedics and EMT's such as myself who would like to jump at the chance to deploy with the COMFORT. It would bring added skills to the COMFORT and I know the Auxiliary would be a great asset to the COMFORT because we can not only teach our core areas, we can also provide administrative, logistical, construction and medical to the missions that the USNS COMFORT does.
What the Coast Guard Leadership should do and should be doing right now, is to see if they can integrate the Coast guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary into the deployments of the USNS COMFORT and USNS Mercy. This would be a great idea for the US Coast Guard to be diplomatic with other countries and it would even be able to help out others as well.
