Go do your research M1THRAND1R. This is part of an article about that area. There are many more. NMA is just ignorant for posting this type of article without looking at the facts. The problem is they do not care about facts or safety.

“This is an area which has long had a history of complaints of speeders,” said Krebs. “We’ve had speeds as high as 50 plus in here.”

Continued later in the article:
Krebs, who is also the spokesperson for the Milwaukie Police Department, said the main priority was safety, not raising revenue.

“No, it is safety,” he said. “”We’ve had crashes at this location. As a matter of fact, this very location two months ago we had a crash where it was speed related.” http://www.katu.com/news/54651892.html

George you are stupid as usual. It was not a fraudulant speed. 35 mph would be a fraudulant speed because it would not take engineering standards into affect. Most residential areas that I have ever seen with houses close to the street and garages facing the street with minimum distance and a lot of pedestrians is set at 25 mph or 30 mph at a max. I can not help your stupidity.

M1THRAND I like it where you say that you put your blinders on to the facts. The fact is that although the road may have been built for the speed of 35 mph, the surrounding area would limit that speed according to any engineer. You say that you want speeds set to engineering standards but it is obvious that at 35 mph it is not. Funny how you took your blinders off long enough to read this article.

You are truly stupid if you say that it does not matter if it is safe enough at a given speed. All it matters is that someone said it had the wrong signs on it so that is good enough for you.

M1THRAND1R I would bet that no traffic engineer did any evaluation of that area. The city was smart enough to set the speed correctly. I have never seen any road like that set at 35 mph. Are you one of the stupid ones that never looked at it and are commenting? I guess I did not even have to ask that because I know the answer. That is a residential area and has more dangerous road conditions than any residential area I have ever seen. Of course you and others believe if your car can get up to 60 mph on that road then that should be the speed limit. You are an idiot. I know that you do not care about kids living or adults for that matter. It is more important to display your stupidity in thinking and driving.

Has anyone looked at the pictures of the roadway in question in this article? I have. The speeds should not be 35 or higher. There are garages within 20 feet of the roadway with people backing on the roadway to either enter of exit their garage. There are houses within 20 feet of the roadway also. There is also a narrow bike path directly on the edge of the roadway on each side. There are also hedges and trees within a few feet of the roadway blocking long distance visibility. This is not a high speed road. That is probably why there was a 25 mph speed limit in the first place. NMA would not tell you these facts.

The pictures on the Ford Focus site are not pictures of a GM product.

If NMA can not take a picture of the actual sign at least they could post one with the speed limit of the sign in question and at least not post a picture of a sign on the ground. What idiots write these articles?

So what does the debt of our country have to do with you being too stupid to wear seatbelts and want no safety standards for car?. Drive a motorcycle and go for it. Make sure you find a state that does not require glasses or helmets.
There was an accident in the local paper today. One person died because she was ejected from the vehicle and the others just had various injuries.

gkisystems small cars can be very safe with the proper safety equipment and design. It is good that the governent is smart enough to make safety devices required because if they were not required many people would not buy them. Why? Most people say that only accidents occur to someone else. Why then are there thousands of deaths and hundreds of thousands of injuries each year? Read my link above from Edmunds

I was wrong the first time. Schwinn is not smart enough to have more than one ID.
