The Film Nest : Gary Ross spinning a web of 'Venom'

If they recast Venom, and go with the darker tone, it could be worth it. However, I don't think the studio will follow through with depicting a character as dark as Venom should be depicted. The end of the film will most likely have Venom go through a change of heart and become a good guy, as a lot of films that focus on villians do. No thanks

I came to the show only recently , but love it. It's arguably the best comedic series ever put on the air. The Wire, of comedic shows, if you will.

I recently caught up to speed on "Breaking Bad", and I have to say you're right Prodigal, its the best thing on TV. Finally, something worth watching since "The Wire" ended.

Rake I have to agree on the comedic aspect. I thought it was hit and miss, but when the comedy did hit, it was funny.

The Film Nest : This Week In Blu (9/15): 'Wolverine,' 'Army of Darkness'

Chase, I agree with your statement about watching less movies if they weren't on Blu Ray. I, personally only rent some movies just to see how great they will look in high definition. It seems like more catalog titles are being released on Blu as well, instead of just new releases.

I found out about Refn through my interest in actor Mads Mikkelson. After seeing what other films he had been in, and hearing how good he was in Pusher II, I decided to watch the whole Pusher trilogy. Definitely give them a look Prodigal and Chase.

The Film Nest : Megan Fox Hated by 'Transformers' Movie Crew (Letter Attached!)

This doesn't surprise me in the least. Megan Fox, for all her blessings in the looks department, seems to have been overlooked in the one that matters most, personality. She comes off like a total ungrateful diva in all her interviews, and I wish that her Transformers role could be recast. We all know this won't happen, so I guess we're stuck having to listen to her idiotic comments for the next couple years.

The Film Nest : Soderbergh's Gonna "Knock" You "Out"

It would seem an odd choice to push aside all other projects, just to work with Carano. Steven's no hack, so he must see something in her. I'm just wondering if this is a good move on his part, the material seems fairly familiar, but I'm eager to see Soderbergh do an action film.
