I wouldn't rank it above WKRP either, but that's what makes horse races.

I watched the show again when it was on TV Land years ago. My then-teenage daughter hated it, especially the title. "'Good Times'? How can life in the projects be good?" I had to explain a little bit about irony. :)

True, the show (before JJ took over) wasn't always light, but it tackled some important topics of the day, and during the John Amos episodes, showed a strong family that may have been down, but they were never out.

Only #25??? The others better be REAL good.

WKRP is, if not wholly responsible, a huge influence on my decision to enter radio as a career. I found out quickly how true-to-life it really was, which made me love it all the more. I'm still in radio a quarter of a century later, and I still love WKRP.

The theatre nearest me is an 8-hour round trip. Any word yet on when a DVD will be available?

The Chinese version of Doctor Who is about a man who stays home and does what he's told.

Time travel requires imagination. If a Chinese subject (sorry, "comrade") were to use their imagination, they just might imagine a system much better than the tyranny under which they live.

To the Party, that is simply unacceptable.

My dad also developed FGS after he retired (Mom too, to a lesser degree). I hope they're never cured.
