Reverse Osmosis uses DOUBLE the water than a standard filter because it flushes the bad water in exchange of the good (or something like that). Read up on the best filter comparisons from last weeks HGTV email.

As for saving water tips. when we shower, we rinse, shut off the water, lather and scrub, shave, then turn on the water to rinse. We are also looking onto a new roof and have seen the rain catchers that are flat against the house that they use in the cities to use for flushing and watering that we would love to have. We've put in more natural flower beds to replace the grass and use less water and also have a 'drain garden' to catch the run off from the roof instead of it going into the sewers or onto others property. It filters slowly into the ground. We compost & recycle evereything and our registering our property for a natural habitat, as we also have a small pond and do strictlty organic growing.

We love this particular artist's work, Carrie McGee and would be absolutely thrilled to own one of our own. Wonder what part of the country they'll pick the winner of the Green Dream Home? Could it possibly be in SW Pa near Pittsburgh?????? In Washington, PA???????? That would be famously astounding!!!!!! You know they make movies here? So why not choose the winner from here? We'll keep our fingers crossed that it's us!!!!!
