Loved this note - really great stuff and so much to take from it! Here are some of my favourites (phrased my way!):
1. Don't be so darned afraid of failure!
2. Do not do unto yourself what you would not do unto others - this is a really big one!
3. Benefit finding is so much more fun than fault finding - and much more useful too :)
4. The purpose of life is living and not worrying about making it perfect - enjoy the moment!
Thanks much - looking forward to integrating all this into my way of being :)

Thanks for this one Linda: Maxwell basically says if we aren't failing several times a day, we're not trying hard enough. It's reassuring to know that if I fail it doesn't make me a failure!

Mark, I so agree with you about paralysing procrastination! And I allowed myself to slip into mediocrity not knowing how to climb out of it - thank God for the internet, the notes, Brian, Vishen and all you wonderful folk sharing your thoughts and helping one another work things out :)

Am so excited to learn that we can use this principle to read faster and get the juice out of books so much faster. I have always been a slow reader and somehow felt compelled to finish every book I pick up from cover to cover - now no more! Very liberating feeling. Of course I will continue to read books from beginning to end for the pleasure of it but I can read so much else without having to plod through stuff that I don't enjoy/need to. So glad to have got this tip along with all the other brilliant ideas from this note. Thanks Brian!

Loved the Note - I have also been vary of 'overachievement' because of the (faulty) belief that overachievers are ruthless, callous and heartless (eeks!) The paradox is that I didn't feel this way about historical overachievers, only the current ones (lol). Am looking into this belief today - that's my assignment for today!
Loved this: "History, though, shows us that the people who end up changing the world-the great political, social, scientific, technological, artistic, even sports revolutionaries-are alway nuts, until they're right, and then they're geniuses" - there's hope for me!!

"I now choose not to look at this list as simply what could have been....now theyre my "which one do I shoot for first" list!!" - WOW thanks so much for this! I need to do this too :)

Very helpful to know its ok to let the mind wander - have heard this before too but somehow always felt that its not ok.... but as you say its the job of the mind to wander so no point being so hard on oneself! Thanks much

Agree with you about the wonders of the Sedona Method - so deceptively simple but oh so powerful!
Cheers!

Hello there, another wonderful Note and so many ideas to mull over!
What I loved was the idea of 'daytight' compartments - makes life so much more manageable when the going gets tough :) :)

And the recurring themes from the 3 Notes so far seem to be:

1.Get clear on what you want
2.Prioritise and then set goals
3.Live in the NOW – that’s all that matters
4.Do not resist what is
5.Don’t take things personally
6.Rest, recreation, meditation are all very important for one’s wellbeing

Helps to read similar ideas written in different ways so that hopefully we can 'apply the knowledge' more effectively.

I loved that idea too Sedenne though I didn't think of using it on my vocab - thanks for that idea :)
