I wanted to include this in the initial release but didn't have the time to test some of the edge cases. The next version will allow the user to install the development version of a plugin without uninstalling the stable version of the plugin.

I've been having issues with Intense Debate as well... I'm giving it another try but if it still continues to mess up then out it goes!
