The Photoshop thing about Beth Ditto is really interesting. I've looked at that cover before, wondering what they changed and how they made that decision since they're not going to make her thin. I hadn't considered that they made her bigger! Hmmm... maybe that's what I've been doing wrong?

I think that's one of the best things I've heard anyone say about themselves. I love it!

@Sammy_Emm - That's something I've heard a study cited on, more than once---and my doctor agrees. Bodies just come in different sizes, and weight or build is no indicator of internal health. A thin person who has a poor diet and little physical activity is prone to the health problems that come along with that, and is less healthy than a fat person who has a balanced diet and is active.

When was actively anorexic in high school, I lost 40 pounds in 4 months. It was both muscle and fat, so while I looked good in clothes, I could barely make it up to the six flights of stairs to class and my hair was falling out. Before I did that, and again after I went back to healthy, normal eating, that's something I never had a problem running up, even with a full backpack. Hardly an improvement in health...

I believe in loving yourself. My boyfriend made a rule, and I'm not aloud to say anything abd about my body. Period. Not that I complained to him about it all the time, but I had a bad day and cried, so he made a rule. Silly, but it's all but eliminated the last of the bad body image days. I wish I'd felt this way in high school, but feeling this way at 27 isn't too bad.
