Because the shooter has been described as "right-wing" and "evangelist," MSNBC and the (other) Soros-Puppets will be blaming Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh for "creating a climate of hate" in 3... 2... 1...

*Sigh* - disappointment abounds. I live on the East Coast, and the tour is all in California. But at least there is Youtube. (and iTunes!) . There's also a really good article at http://www.jewishjournal.com/hollywoodjew/item/id...
complete with a video of an interview with Idan Raichel from a few years ago.

According to a vicious rumor I'm trying to start, the Coffee Party broke up, because they never could agree how to split the bill.

Maybe try Nevada? Their state economy is one of the less-bad ones, especially because of all the businesses fleeing there from California.

Representative "Hindenburg" - don't forget what happened on its last flight.
"Oh the humanity!"
"As G-d is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!"
(oh, wait, that last bit was in "WKRP") -- or should that be "I thought weiners could fly"?

And don't forget how awesome Deborah Kerr and Robert Mitchum also were in "The Sundowners"!

Even though she's British, at least part of her childhood was spent in Nazi-occupied Europe. And in any case, she also did humanitarian work because she really cared - and had class. Could you even imagine in a million years her saying snarky things about other people not caring as much as she did, the way that, say, George Clooney ("no one has been as enlightened as we are in hollywood!") would?

True, but her activism came from deep-set personal beliefs and knowlege that she did have despite being from old money. She wasn't just mindlessly parroting whatever seemed cool to care about at the moment.

Granted, not all activists in Hollywood are/were the coddled kiddies - Katherine Hepburn is a good example. But it's the coddled kiddies like Gwyneth Paltrow who simply can't understand why *anyone* would not be willing to spend thousands of dollars for high-end "green" products, or "fair trade" products, or "vegan" products, etc etc etc and so these nose-in-the-air airheads stand out as the most obnoxious.
For seriously off the deep end, we could bring up the Fonda kids. (ok, they haven't been, biologically, at least, kids, for a while)

A while ago, I think it was Miss Manners who referred to it as "situational narcissism" -- "when people scream with delight at your presence and vie for your toenail clippings on ebay, it gives you a skewed sense of reality."
