I object to the insulation of the booster/eco-friendly rhetoric. That came AFTER the Challenger disaster. The company that made those tiles was Avtex Fibers, Inc in Front Royal, VA. My hometown. Plenty of us have died of Cancer thanks to that plant that was closed in 1989 by our state and by the EPA for political reasons. Those tiles were anything but environmentally friendly, but in the early 80's NASA could have cared less.

I believe Space Shuttle Columbia might be the tragedy you mean to refer to, 2003

Absolutely! The word "change" is too varied in definition. It can go so many ways, and I find nothing positive about that word. Much like truth it's rarely kind, and rarely something you want to hear.

I absolutely enjoyed Beck's interview lambasting the Attorney General of Connecticut! That man isn't the only one that needs to be reminded about the finer points of his job description! Good NY Times article, a little disconcerting when I'm used to the Times spinning the other direction. Makes me a little wary

Why does President Obama have to be "like" a former President of this great country? I would think the man would want to etch out his own path in the pages of history yet to be written. You are, however, 100% correct on the Emancipation Proclaimation, and I appreciate that. So few understand that document.
