I agree. It is the detail on things like the carpet framed for the room or the textured carpet in the master suite that show the talent on the HGTV team as they have done such an incredible job!

Lastly, what I will do if I win is host a Farmers Market in the Stapleton community. I have thought over and over in my head what it would truly be like to win. The way I would like to give after receiving such a wonderful blessing is to be of service to others. To use our knowledge, experiences and abilities to help others in our new community to shop local, grow local, eat and make healthy choices and step that much closer to true sustainable living. I am a disabled veteran. I participate in a MOVE program and I have so much knowledge I could use. My husband is an over the road truck driver. He has driven the Denver route frequently. I dream of making that leap into an owner/operator who drives a local dedicated route. He could collect from all the growers and farmers just outside of town. We could use our good fortune to host the Farmers Market and not charge a vendor fee for the first year to really establish a consistent working model. We would be inspired daily living in our new HGTV Green Home. I am so excited and the possibilities and these goals are so tangible I can smell it and taste it and just WOW I just dream of living it.

My 7 year old son said if he won he would be like " Oh Schnitzel, Oh Yeay, Oh Yeay, Oh Yeay, and like noone could stop me b/c I would be going crazy and doing the freak out dance and lets party in our new house Oh Yeay, Oh Yeay." then he started dancing, waving his arms, and shaking his butt!

The 2nd thing I would do is pack only pictures and baby keepsakes and donate all my household items to the local charities. I remember when I was serving in the military I used to just stare at pics sent from home. I would just stare at the couch in the background and try to remember what it was like to have furniture!! My days of standing quarterdeck watch and sleeping in racks are over but I find myself staring and daydreaming over these HGTV Green Home pictures the same way.......dreaming of winning.

I love most that the family who lives in this beautiful green home will be reshaping their environmental footprint on our great green Earth to be smaller, more sustainable, and pass it on to the children who will grow up in this home and make such a difference in their lives for themselves and the community in which they will soon become a part of.

I am usually such a control freak that winning the HGTV Dream Home Giveaway would be so out of my control that it would have to be the first time in my life that I take a step back and let my family take charge........by that I mean the kids really. This would be the biggest thing that will ever happen to them in their little lives that it would be them winning really and not just Mommy. The more I think about it the very first thing to me would be to watch the kids rush through the front doors and go running from room to room calling out all of their expression and surprise and excitement!! Haha the girls room is already painted pink so I think I know who will be calling that room:)
