Germans only have an "on" and an "off" switch. Since WWII, it has been turned "off". Hate to see what would happen to Muslims if they flipped the switch. It will probably take a lot more than a couple of bombs set by apostles of the "Religion of Peace" to do it, unfortunately.

I didn't mean it to come across as "contempt". It is, frankly, laughable. There is something disturbing about a movie like this, where the revenge sought is as savage as what has been described. Something a little perverse. The fact that the German press cannot objectively review the movie is the part that is laughable. It appears that they are stumbling over themselves to praise this movie, yet they were angry in Austria that "Bruno" (correctly) pointed out that Hitler was an Austrian. Germany and Germans are an interesting people. I have nothing but respect for the people and the culture. However, I think it has been and continues to be stuck. I talked to German friends who were "surprised" and even "shocked" by the displays of national pride during the last Euro Cup. That is the sad...and perhaps laughable part: Germans want to be proud of their country, but they have been taught that to be proud, leads to genocide. Like I said...interesting.

Poor Germans. The guilt is so heavy, that they jump at the chance to support anything which even closely resembles self-immolation. I am sure that a lot of Germans are wondering why they couldn't have made this movie, where instead they made movies like "Stalingrad" and "Downfall". Another chance missed, I guess!
